Sri Srinivasa Kalyana

Lord Sri Vedavyasa (BadarayaNa)

Sreenivasa Kalyana happened in Vyshaka masa. So, it is auspicious to listen to it in Vyshaka masa. But it is also auspicious to listen it during Ashwija because Lord Venkatesha called 'Shami' as his Kula Devata.

Dr. Vyasanakere Prabhanjanacharya  is a leading, acknowledged Sanskrit scholar of the country. He is an exponent of the Dwaita school of Philosophy propounded by Sri Madhwaachaarya. He has written, edited, and published several books on Madhwa philosophy in many Indian languages and in English. He is the recipient of several titles and honours from National and International organizations.

He was the Chairman of the All India Madhwa Philosophical Conference held in Bangalore in 1994. He opted for voluntary retirement, from his assignment as the Principal of a Government First Grade College, to concentrate on his writing and research work. His books contain a wealth of information for both the layperson and the researcher. He founded Sree Jayatheertha Manuscript Library, which has some of the rare and hitherto unpublished works on Indian philosophy.

Dr. Prabhanjanacharya is a very popular Pravachanakara, in the southern states and is known for his lucid down to earth style which touches the hearts of the modern youth as well as the traditionalists. The first time listener is very soon transformed as an ardent follower. He is an inspiration to the youth and is a standing example, of a harmonious combination of modern thoughts and traditional values. He has shown that these two are not inherently divergent, but only misconceptions among both the protagonists create the divide.

Sri Vyaasa Madhwa seva Pratishtaana, a trust formed by him, is dedicated to the propagation of Indian tradition, culture and values. Bringing out books, through its publication wing Aitareya Prakashana is one of its major activities. In addition, it has taken up several relevant projects, which are aimed at helping retired scholars and students of philosophy.
