Smt. Laxanabai Shrinivasacharya Malagi is from Late Sri Madhvacharya H Katti's family of Yalgur. From her childhood she was very interested in Dasa Sahitya and learnt singing from her mother Late Smt. Yamunabai Madhvacharya Katti of Yalagur.
Smt.
Laxanabai's husband was Late Sri Shrinivasacharya Malagi who is the son of
Yadupati Acharya Malagi of Gadag.
Smt. Laxanabai Shrinivas Malagi used to sing for All India Radio
Dharawar earlier in 1970's. Her songs were broadcasted at that time.
Smt. Laxanabai is around 80 yrs of age now and staying at Bagalkot,
Karnataka, India with her son Sri Venugopal Malagi who is serving for State
Bank of Mysore.
